The National Bank of Egypt provides mobile ATMs in coastal cities, coinciding with the summer season
The National Bank of Egypt launched a number of special mobile ATMs to serve coastal city-goers during the summer season.
Yahya Aboul Fotouh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at the National Bank of Egypt, stated that this initiative comes in an effort by the bank to reduce the amount of overcrowding and overcrowding on ATM machines in various branches in coastal cities and in an effort to serve customers in those areas that witness great demand during the summer period, which comes in support of those Branches, especially during holidays and official occasions.
Aboul Fotouh stressed that this initiative comes within the bank’s strategy, which focuses on the customer being the focus of the bank’s attention, which greatly supports plans to expand financial inclusion as one of the pillars of development in the banking sector.
Karim Sous, CEO of Retail Banking and Branches at the National Bank of Egypt, added that this initiative is launched from the city of Baltim, Gamasa, Marsa Matrouh, the Red Sea Governorate, the North Coast, Ain Sukhna and other coastal cities with the aim of providing automated teller services to the pioneers of those areas, provided that the work of mobile cars continues throughout the season. In order to facilitate customers in those areas, he indicated that the fleet of mobile ATMs has reached 19 cars, and it is planned that the number will be increased to 28 cars by the end of July 2022, covering the various governorates of the Republic according to a studied geographical distribution according to customer needs and regions. Their focus, noting that the mobile ATM car provides many services to customers, including withdrawals, deposits, currency exchange, bill payments, donations, instant transfer, inquiries, requesting a short account statement, and other banking services.To meet the needs of customers who go to the various exhibitions, in addition to making these cars available also during the salary disbursement periods at the headquarters of companies whose employees’ salaries are transferred to the National Bank to prevent any accumulation on ATMs, where nearly 74 companies were supported in 2021.
Seuss emphasized that the bank did not neglect its customers of determination, as it provided them with wheelchair access in these cars, with modifications to suit it to facilitate the customer’s interaction with them to benefit from banking services without the need for outside intervention or assistance to facilitate their access to banking services with ease. pleased.
Noting that this initiative has greatly contributed to supporting some villages during the Corona pandemic period, in addition to supporting areas that are not covered by ATMs such as Siwa and St. Catherine, in an effort by the Bank to reach banking services to all segments of society.
